Book a Counselling Appointment
Glasgow Clyde College counselling service offers free, private counselling to all students currently enrolled at the college. Counselling can help deal with personal problems including long-standing issues and short term crises.
We provide friendly, private support to any student who wishes help with difficulties they may be experiencing. Talking through your problems can help to improve your wellbeing and impact positively on your studying. It may be beneficial to speak to someone outwith your immediate group of family, friends and tutors.

WHAT PROBLEMS CAN YOU SEE A COUNSELLOR ABOUT?
Problems arising from a variety of issues such as:
- trouble with family and friends
- feelings resulting from an event such as bereavement of trauma
- difficulties adjusting to life as a student/living away from home
- addiction
- stress
- anxiety
You can approach a counsellor with any personal problem and they can also help you access assistance from an outside specialist agency if you find that helpful. If you would like to access counselling, please find a suitable appointment on the app. Counselling can be accessed at any of the campuses, not only the campus you are currently attending. The counselling service will not be able to assist with practical issues such as money, housing, childcare or benefits but the advisers in the Student Advice Team can.
Student Advice Centres can be contacted at:
Anniesland Campus - Tel: 0141 357 6114
Cardonald Campus - Tel: 0141 272 3332
Langside Campus - Tel: 0141 272 3636
WILL ANYONE KNOW IF A YOU ATTEND COUNSELLING? No, unless you specifically request it. The counselling service guarantees privacy to all students. Students of all ages, backgrounds, gender, full or part-time and distance learners can make use of the counselling service.
HOW MUCH TIME WILL IT TAKE UP? As a guideline, each session lasts for 50 minutes. The frequency of the visits are usually weekly but depends upon what you and counsellor agree is appropriate. You are requested to never make counselling appointments for a time when you are timetabled to be in class although, very occasionally, there might be a slight overlap. If this should occur, please bring it to the attention of your course tutor.
